Reviews/Thoughts:
Been real busy lately, so this week's reviews (after RAW) will be shorter.
Finals of the Gold Rush Tournament tonight. Still hoping for a Rollins win.
First, Dalton/Jordan face Hunico/Camacho again in a rematch because the latter team basically called it a fluke. Glad WWE is finally getting Camacho more in-ring time instead of being a lackey for Hunico. Hunico and Camacho do indeed get the win, but Jordan and Dalton looked pretty strong. Love Dalton's agility. Rubber match coming, perhaps?
Usos call out Ascension. Ring entrance music and lighting distraction and ambush from out of nowhere. Not even a match. Two high-lows on the Usos and it's done. Nice way to build up Ascension.
People were talking about Big E Langston's debut? I doubt a lot of people outside of wrestling sites and message boards were doing that. Super squash here. I love the finisher, I'll say that.
Dusty Rhodes carries the NXT Title to the ring. All the talent on the stage to get a firsthand look; that's more NXT stars than I originally thought.
Even Fink does the ring intros! Yay special moment! Jinder doesn't shake Dusty's hand. Vintage heel!
They gave a lot of time for this match, probably about half the show. Goes back to WWE seemingly wanting to really place a lot of importance on the belt. Crowd was the loudest it's been for any NXT match since they moved to Full Sail University.
I finally got to see more of Jinder's potential in WWE here. He really controlled the majority of the match. Rollins did his part as well, great agility. Excellent end sequence. Rightfully so, Rollins is the first NXT champ. Great spark to this guy's WWE career.
